Oh Yes it will be mine!!!

What is your dream guitar, the one you've always wanted to own. Is it a current model or one of the '80s superstrats? Maybe it was a guitar you played in the past, the one that got away if you like. Or would you opt for a custom built instrument? If you opt for the Custom please post your spec as well. Thanx!!

(No famous guitars here btw guys).

Re: Oh Yes it will be mine!!!

I'd go for Ibanez RGT320 or a Suhr guitar with 2 humbuckers, Gotoh Floyd and AANJ.

Ibanez S540FMTP, 1995 model. I played one back in the day, and have never forgotten how it felt.

Rock on!

Similar thing here, but what did it for me was a 93/94 S540 SOL with maple fretboard. The one I tried was too beaten up for my taste, been searching for a good one ever since.

Re: Oh Yes it will be mine!!!

A jem90HAM.... Every time i find one for sale it disappears when i get enough cash up, and when i have plenty of coin they seem to all be off the market or located terribly far away.

There are just a few guitars of note I haven't really played and that's the one i've been after hardest and for the longest time.

Maybe i'll have one someday after they've thrown me in the looney bin.

Re: Oh Yes it will be mine!!!

I traded away a vintage Guild S-60D (The "D" is for DiMarzio) when I was younger for an absolute bargain bin, piece of sh.t Washburn, and I've regretted it ever since. I would love to own one again, or better yet, a Guild S-300, cause I would like a neck 'bucker. Someday, I will find one again, and have the money for it. Someday.

If you have never seen one, they have a very unique body shape. They were mahogony body and necks, with rosewood boards, 24 frets. I'm not sure what the neck radius was, but I thought they were comfortable.
Here's a pic off the web

Re: Oh Yes it will be mine!!!

I have a few dream guitars...3 of my 4 are my own custom builds (the other is an Ibanez Destroyer):

My next/fifth and possibly final one (yeah right) will be a custom les paul. Fixing all the things I don't like about LPs.

Specs: neck thru body, one piece mahogany body with a super figured quilt top (dragonburst finish most likely), ebony board, 24 fret ; 25.5 inch scale neck (some kinda super exotic wood, haven't decided yet)... Locking sperzel tuners, and probably some two humbucker Dimarzio combo.
