Should metal guitars be black?

Well,

Should guitars for playing metal be black? Or does the colour not matter?

Any colour is fine.

You just might not be taken seriously in some cases.

Red face Re: Should metal guitars be black?

in my experiences (which were 20 years ago) pink served the metal movement quite nicely...

Re: Should metal guitars be black?

Like anyone would really care if your in a hot Metal band and the crowd is going nuts, and then one of the douchebag headbangers looks up from his multiple headbanging, and realises your playing a pink guitar, and freaks out and jumps you on stage...

no one really cares what color the guitar is, its more about how it sounds....

Re: Should metal guitars be black?

i think black is a boring colour (say's a man who plays a vbk),ah but the vbk has bright green pups, and a green vine so looks rather cool.whereas a black guitar with black pups and dots for inlays does look rather crap.ive always been a fan of flashy looking guitars, neon especially.

Re: Should metal guitars be black?

Hells no!

If ya can't bring the metal with a bright neon Ibanez, ya can't really bring the metal at all.

Plus, the quota for black guitars was reached a long time ago. The manufacturers need to concentrate on pink and purple polka dots for a while. Now THAT would be metal.

Rock on!

Re: Should metal guitars be black?

Your guitar should reflect you. Black is boring. Are you boring?

No. My most "metal" guitar is a Vampire Kiss RG7620.

Re: Should metal guitars be black?

Don't know if it is the same word in english,
but Metal has to be "Blazing" (flamboyant in French)

so flashing colors or complex motives are Metal !
