Red face Speaking of Hot Dogs...

Speaking of Hot Dogs...How do you guys like yours?

Split the dog and grill it. Then add sauteed mushrooms, jalapenos, and onions, and top with your favorite BBQ sauce... That's my favorite...

My son douses his in A1 Sauce, but he's a freak for A1 so...

Re: Speaking of Hot Dogs...

I prefer the "not dogs" that is vegetarian hotdogs. I figure if I am going to eat processed lips and A-holes they might as well be fake lips and A-holes.

Good old regular mustard for me.

Either ketchup, horseradish and grated Parmesan cheese, mustard and onions or Coney sauce and onions.

Re: Speaking of Hot Dogs...

Hotdogs actually make me vomit.

And I don't mean that in the, "Duh it's the internet so I have use hyperboole to describe what I think," way I mean the only time I've tried hotdogs they made me vomit.

Of course things could have changed since then but I just can't bring myself to try them again.

Now, a nice homemade beef burger that's where it's at!

Re: Speaking of Hot Dogs...

... Deli mustard and *some* relish.
The sloppier the better; the odd combinations, more likely i'll try but not as far as ice cream on it lol. The other day, i used "deli" roast beef, swiss, mayo, Nathan's and ketchup...
If there's one place out in this side of town for dogs, it's Pinks except it takes a frick'n hour [if you're lucky] to get your order.
Now sausages, that's a different thing... i'll take some sourkraut with that and 'taters with pints of dark german beer hah.

Re: Speaking of Hot Dogs...

A hotdog isn't a hotdog without mustard...ie:yellow,spicy brown,or stadium mustard

oh yea and relish is also a defining component

Re: Speaking of Hot Dogs...

Why is Ketchup even on that list?

Everyone knows the one thing that NEVER goes on a hot dog is Ketchup.

Re: Speaking of Hot Dogs...

It all depends on my mood but occasionally I will spring for a peanut butter and ketchup hotdog.

Usually I go even amounts of yellow mustard and ketchup, sometime I like to add some Tabasco, regular or habanero. Then there are the times I like spicy brown mustard with relish or kraut.

The hotdog is a truly versatile food item.

The only hotdog I've ever had that didn't require ketchup was a Nathans.

Re: Speaking of Hot Dogs...

Anything except ketchup. This is a hot dog Rob, not 'Nam, there are rules.

I will only take Mrs Cid to hot dog joints that don't have ketchup. Luckily they aren't hard to find in Chicago.
