Re: Strat vs Les Paul.

Hmm difficult one.
I'd prefer Les Pauls cause they're more solid and could smash strats for a bonfire at the beach.
Wait.....who am I fooling?
Burn all of them

Re: Strat vs Les Paul.

Both. They both have different tones that sound very good in many instances.

Re: Strat vs Les Paul.

need a both option. I own both, iconic instruments. Each has its own personality and tone.

Both useful, both great.

Re: Strat vs Les Paul.

Les Paul. If I could only have one guitar for the rest of my life, that would be what I would choose. I could get everything done on that one guitar.

A Stratocaster? Not so much. Not without some modifications that would end up making it very Jem/RG-like . I'd rather have a Telecaster if I could only have one.

Plus, you can't just piece together a Les Paul from spare parts. Well, you CAN but that's more of a luthier's job.

Re: Strat vs Les Paul.

I said strat because no matter what kind of strat it is, it's usually a keeper. I would like a les paul COPY because the gibsons aren't all that great imo. If it was a les paul copy, i'd have to say either ESP or Ibanez.

I think that Gibson pickups are superb. I have a 498T in my Ravelle and a 500T in my Explorer and they are just great for what I play. Would love to get a Dirty Fingers for my RG
