What frequency do you tune your guitar to? 440hz, 432hz, 444hz

For Vai music, I tune to 777.

For metal I tune to 666hz.
For ballads I tune to 69hz.

I put a Snark on my headstock and turn the peg until it says "E".

432Hz is pythagorean tuning frequencies. Try playing the same riff or song in 432Hz tuning instead of 440Hz.

I believe there is something a little more to it than that if I remember correctly. I think your frets have to be intonated a certain way that is not achievable with straight frets, or at least standard temperament (i think there was something about everything being divisible by 3?)

I'll have to see if I can dig up that article from somewhere deep inside the internet itself...
