Red face Vacation Places

So where do we like to go to? In State? Out of Country?

I personally hate vacations...I see them as trying to get away from yourself, and your daily life, but you're always there anyway...

So I never go anywhere...unless I'm being paid to play!

Re: Vacation Places

Havent been on a vacation for 3 or 4 years, but I like the outdoors thing.
Dont like any kind of commercial bs like Las Vegas, Disneyworld etc.
We used to go 4 wheel driving in Colorado.... the scenery is unbelieveable,
Ghost towns and old mining ruins. You can go all day and not hardly see any other people. Ive also hiked in the jungles in Hawaii but cant really afford that right now.

Re: Vacation Places

When I was stationed in Italy, we vacationed all over Europe. My absolute favorites were Paris in summer and Austria in the winter.

Re: Vacation Places

No Carrots option!! Surely some mistake??

Seriously though if I had to choose a holiday destination I would go somewhere mountainous. Would love to see the Himalayas but could only wheeze/cough/splutter my way to a low level base camp (by chopper...lol!!). Nepal or Tibet would be awe inspiring for me.

My fave holiday was when we went skiing in Transylvania. Went to Dracula's castle as well, the real McCoy. Pretty cool!! Think Ibanez should bring out a Vlad the Impaler signature model!!!

When we lived in Italy, we kept saying we'd go to Transylvania to see Dracula's castle for the Halloween party. We never made it. I did get to visit the real Frankenstein castle in Darmshdadt, Germany--waaaaaay cool!

Seriously cool man!!! I would have loved that. You gotta do Transylvania!! Unreal place, got an atmosphere about it that you wouldn't believe, real copy book stuff. I intend to go back there some day.

Re: Vacation Places

I like to experience the different things the world has to offer, whether it's hot springs in Japan, or the pyramids in Egypt. it's not about getting away from yourself and your daily life, it's getting to somewhere else for a few days.

Re: Vacation Places

In the UK I like the beach, particularly North Cornwall where I am off to next week. Plus the scenery, beer and food are great as well.

Abroad I prefer city breaks, or hooking up with friends and family.

Not really one for camping. I lived in a caravn for a month when I was 5 whilst we were moving from Scotland to the south.
