Maybe you all know this but mf.com is selling the blue jem.
This guitar is not displayed in the guitar section, it is shown in the private reserve section

it's not quite avaialable yet. *From the MF site:

"Backordered
You can still place your order for this item, although it is not currently available for shipment from any of our warehouse locations. We have the product on order with our supplier and expect to have it in stock around 04-10-2002. This is an estimated date from the manufacturer and is subject to change. We appreciate your patience on this!"

You might want to send out some inquiries to this site's vendor list before buying.

okay then...seeing as it's basically the same guitar...the materials for the 7vwh may be a bit more expensive to the manufacturer (ebony, gold plating, etc)

Are they the same price? *or is the new one more becuase it's new? *What should we look for in the stores?

I think the VSBL lists for more than the VWH, but I could be wrong. *I seem to remember they weren't far off though. *Probably just an age issue.

List is $100 higher for the blue so figure in store pricing to reflect the added cost.

I don't know, I've only seen the 7V's list go UP with time :glare:

I can't figure out the $100 difference either. The 7VWH has gold plated hardware an abalone inlays on the fretboard. I guess the plastic vines and the sparkle paint are more costly.

That's exactly what I was saying. *There's no reason it should be more expensive, other than it being 'novel'

Got me. Ibanez did really good this year. There were no List Price increases, and I think it was 3 decreases. Then several modles have been upgraded etc. It's been said before, don't ever try and analyze the price points of signature models, you'll just get frustrated.
