Thumbs up 1987 JEM777SK

I bought her a couple of weeks ago looking like she'd gone through hell and back, here's a pic:

Well, yesterday I got her all cleaned up and installed a TZ in the bridge, replacing the defective megadrive that was in there; it sounds killer.

I got her next to nothing so I thought I'd take a chance, well, let's just say I'm glad I did. This guitar plays like a dream, I love the neck, one of my favorites of all time.

Nice score, too bad it didn't come with the handrest that used to be on it. (Or did you take it off?) Congrats

Yeah, those two black pads on the body on either side of the trem are where the handrest sits.

Very nice man!

I always loved the SK, very 80's rawk.
The fretboard was in a filthy condition though wasn't it. Looks far, far better now though.

Of course it plays like a dream! It's a JEM Nice score!

Seriously though, if it were mine, I'd get that board sanded and cleaned up big time.

Clean maple = yummy And it'll improve the looks 1000%.

(IMHO) Because I know some people actually like the look of dirty maple.

Please get a pink bridge pickup in there. Black pickups on ANY Jem make the dolphins cry.....

Nice score. I've always wanted a 777DY but i've always liked the SK as well. It's got some character too. Congrats!
