1990 Jem777dy under black light

Anybody else ever try this? Haven't seen any pictures of these Jems under black lights. Just thought I would share for fun!

ummm are you serious ? They made these in the late 80's with the intention to glow in the UV light and your asking people in a forum called Jemsite if they have ever tried it ? hehehehe ... yes lets just say every member who owns a UV colored Jem has tried it.. Including me !!

Re: 1990 Jem777dy under black light

I had to do a comparison since I have four black lights in my guitar room. It's amazing how fluorescent my new project 777sk is. Very orange under the light though. Makes me wonder how much the other two lost their fluorescent properties over the years.

Did you know that the neck inlay glows in the dark on a DNA?

Making fun of myself...I did not know that parts of the inlay glowed until recently and I use to own one.

I'd bet a million dollars not everyone here has tried it. I've never even thought of doing it myself, and I've probably owned more than most

It wasn't a greeting... it was an observation coupled with a smart ass comment...

Lighten up, there is a reason its a dying community and thats because we all have to tip toe around making sure not to break any rules...or hurt peoples feelings...

I find it hard to believe you never once thought of seeing how your guitar looks under a black light... its the very reason these guitars are so popular from the 80's... If Jems only ever came out in Black no one would have thought twice about buying one. the neon factor was the catch or gimmick that made it so popular and you never thought about it ? Whatever dude...

Thanks, This DY has erased over 20 years of regret and sadness that I have been carrying around since I sold my SK. I bought it a few weeks ago, and absolutely love it. Just trying to share it with everyone here.

I wasn't even born in the 80's. And I bought my first jem in like 2010.
I think of neon as a color, not something that needs to be put under a blacklight.

Your comment wasn't very nice, so I was backing up op.......dude.
