Anyway, it should be a fairly cool instrument.

Because I didnt realize he was the one who posted it. Its obvious to me (and to anybody for that matter) that he is the most reliable source of information regarding this matter.

Its strange though that they didnt at least announce the guitar this year, since the 20th anniversay is 2006 and not 2007.

again there is nothing strange, except ibanez not wanting to prevent a glut of "bad horsie" jems at distributors.

they aren't shipping this anytime soon... glen

Well, then I hope the model lives up to its predecessor and to the expectations.

I was considering a job in matsumoto recently. Beautiful scenery around Nagano, and i fancy a change of pace and a chance to really get out on the mountain bike.

I remember reading they were in Nagoya now you mention it. Never been there mind, not much to see.

I really hope they do something original this time round, i mean the 10th was pretty, the 90th was pretty rank in the flesh and i hate offset dots.

Anyways, off to put my current Jem through it's paces at a jam now.

I hope they keep it under wraps until it's revealed at NAMM or something. I hate the trickling in on new stuffis.

I bet it is going to be a hardtail. I remember reading an interview a while back that Ibanez was going to come out with a hardtail jem along with the BRMR.

It's about time! But I still wouldn't be surprised if there would be a delay & it gets put off for a while past 1/2007.

Yeah really, especially if they decide to make it a hard tail

A hardtail production Jem MIGHT make sense, but a hardtail for the 20th anniversary makes no sense at all. I mean why would you celebrate 20 years of a floating trem signature series guitar with a hardtail?

I just hope it's as cool as the 10th was

Where is Hoshino based just out of interest?

And how on earth do you put smiley faces in your post? Can't work it out.
Sounds like fun - guitars n' bars!

Smileys are a colon ( : ) followed by a ) , a ( , or a D. Those are the basic ones (read: i don't really know any others)

Personally, I think having the 20th Jem be a hardtail would be a bit wierd, especially because they're a Vai sig and he doesn't really use hard tails at all.

I didn't like it. I do not understand why they used Basswood. and I don't like the way it looks.
