We need a swirl with a crazy inlay. If not a swirl, how about a rich bright color. I'm getting ready to order a PRS Artist, I'm wondering if I should save for the 20th.
PRS or JEM20th...hmmmm? depends on wether you are collecting or playing IMHO.

Re: 2007 - 20th Anniversary Jem?

problem with anniversary models is that you soon end up like fender and releasing a model for this and that and because the year ends in a number, hey in the end it de values a guitars anniversary, just my 2 cents

Re: 2007 - 20th Anniversary Jem?

The prospects of a 20th is indeed exciting. I wonder what is on the drawing board. I would hazard a guess in saying that a swirl is probably not going to be. But then again who knows. From what I have gathered it doesn't appear that ATD will be doing any swirling anytime soon? Perhaps Japan. Who swirled the Black and white RG for 2006? I'm afraid the 20th may become one of the Elite untouchables only accessible by the wealthy or those willing to sell everything they have to possess one. I would love to see something classy yet affordable to the actual players.

you can bet on it being over the top in the price point. if the BRMR sells at $2300 for a basswood body without special inlays, you can also bet it will be another 5K Jem if they do anything cool to it.

Absolutely, I agree with both of you. They should get Herc to do it, his swirls maybe nicer than the originals anyway, more colorful. I am a player and a collector. I do want one badly, well at least I think I do.

How about a Jem with Steve's parents curtains from the 90's and 00's ?

Re: 2007 - 20th Anniversary Jem?

I wonder if it will be plain and boring like the BRMR and all the other Ibanez on the market? Now that would really make it overpriced.
