777DY

whats up with this model?
looks like it's real but some strange things... like the volume knob being moved, or the bridge...
seeing this what would be the right price to offer?

Re: 777DY

It may just be the pics but it doesn't look like the correct shade of yellow either...

It's real, just a swapped out trem and yes, the controls were relocated.

Re: 777DY

I was very close to buy it. It is real. Was listed on Ebay.de. It was removed from Ebay because the seller
found out that the pup's were not 100%. Seller is a nice guy.

Re: 777DY

Lol knobs must have gotten in the way for original owner when playing. I like my knobs close because I enjoy swells, especially with delay.

Yes, but it could cost

Edge tremolo $ 200
Dimarzio X 3 $ 200
Pickguard $ 50

I paid $ 1650 for mine two weeks ago.
But as usual for all my Jem's, it was not looking like this from the seller's pictures.

Re: 777DY

@Stensen the seller suppost to be from sweden...? I got contacted by pm here on jemsite... (user has 0 posts)

i asked him about the changes and he replies there where no changes made, the guitar is in excellent condition...?

offered him 1200€ after to quick an inspection of the pictures and he agrees and included shipping and insurance...?

don't know, I really want a 777DY bad for a long time, but this deal feels a bit off.

I asked him for a picture with the date and my name on a paper behind the strings. but haven't got a reply yet.
any other advice/measure i can take to make sure he doesn't send me a box of wet towels?

When i saw the guitar on Ebay.de, the seller was from Østerreich.
You need pups, tremolo and pickguard. I offered 900 euro.
If you can't get the parts cheap. I would rather choose another DY.
There is one for sale in Denmark.

9500 DK is 1300 euro

Re: 777DY

hey thanks Stensen,

I've send the guy from Denmark a mail for some pics and info.

Guess I won't go through with the guy from Sweden/Austria or where ever he's from... ;-)

It wouldn't cost that much to restore seeing that the original trem was included with the guitar.
