Angled Bridge

I'm doing a seasonal setup on my js1000, and I've just lowered the bridge - however some of the bass strings have a slight buzz, yet the treble strings could either go down a hair or stay where they are.

So my question is... is it alright to raise the bass side a 1/8 turn, and lower the treble side 1/8 turn? *

I'm unsure, and am assuming that the bridge should be equal and that this may cause problems, so i just thought i better ask you guys here first before I try something!!
thanks.

Trevor.

it depends on too many factors...
neck bow, fretwear, desired action, strings etc...

you should raise the bass strings till they stop buzzing, and lower high strings till they start buzz (well, a bit before...), anyway 1/8 turn is fine.

btw: don't forget to loosen the Stud Locks before to raise/lower the bridge!

You don't really need to loosen the Studlocks to raise the trem...just to lower it. *

Thanks for the info guys! i'll be able to get some unbelievable action outta my btb now

Whenever I've asked anyone something regarding the setup of a lo-pro bridge, everyone always stresses to loosen the studlocks.. *i know it must be a major "no-no", but out of curiosity, what happens if you don't and decide to crank the bridge down...?? lol...
peace,

trevor.

oh well...
if you tighten the posts, they wont move because of the Stud Locks that lock the posts.
if you loosen the posts, they will screw out, but you never know what happens there.
you better to stay safe. it's worth not... you risk to strip the Stud Locks and the internal Posts threads, and the trem stability will be compromised.
don't do it.

You can also break the post if the stud locks is stuck a bit (not good). loosen. Always. It's safer.
