Anybody seen this???

First I'm not posting an auction link for something I'm trying to sell, infact it's been sold but I just wanted a few opinions.
I just noticed this on 3bay 250183766590 it's a black painted jem with original edge trem disappearing pyramids and a 88 serial number as far as I can tell from the low res pics.
The owner says you can still see the 'original lime green' paint in some places. The headstock face has been stripped to the wood, there was a break just by the lock nut which has been fixed. The original pink pups have been painted white and a pearloid scratchplate and black knobs fitted.
Am I mad... Or... Is this a LNG someone has buggered about with??
If so and if the parts are all original (the owner said he still had the original scratchplate, switch tip and knobs) would this have been worth considering as a possible restoration?
Any opinions greatefully received...

Yes I saw it myself,I think it went for £475 in the end. A bit over priced but still a good restoration project. I did toy with the idea myself.

Wow. It could use a good home, that's for sure.

Re: Anybody seen this???

He says it was an LNG in the auction. It might have been in very bad shape - still sad to see a refinished LNG that wasn't refinished in LNG colors. hopefully whomever buys it will give it the proper refinish
