I initially wasnt very impressed when I first saw it in M.F. *The pics on Rich's site really impressed me though. *I think its a gorgeous Jem and the rosewood board is a huge plus for me. *I'm thinking 2 months before I buy it, I'm currently funding a Triple Rectifier. *I bet they're more gorgeous in person. *

I would love to have one, but can you guess what I have to pay for the new Jem in Sweden?
35 000 sek, which is about 3500 $$!
How much does it cost in the USA?

Johan, get a price quote from gitarimport.net. You'll probably get the price down to somewhere around $2100.

That's totally ridiculous price! You can get it in Helsinki for 2790Ä, more than 1000$ less. And I thought we hade high prices...

i don't know why anybody would buy the 7vsbl when they can get a guitar with the same specs (the 7vwh, duh) made from better materials for less money.

I think Ibanez made a huge pricing error.

I personally would buy a VSBL if I bought a JEM (which I wouldn't for a long time). *Yes, it kinda looks Strat-ish, but I like it. *Besides, I play mostly nu-metal, so it would be neet to play heavy music on a sparkly blue guitar. * *I also like the fact that it doesn't have the Strat-style knobs, I'm getting bored of those. *You guys beg for more flashy, bright coloured guitars...

I'm gonna guess he's talking about the simple pickguard, different fretboard wood, etc. *All I know is it costs more than the VWH for some reason...

Musicians Friend has the exact price. *Its a little more than the white one.

If anyone has one, Rich? maybe. *Does the blue vine inlay show up a lot better in person. *The blue and rosewood in the pictures, I mean it doesnt really jump out at ya like the VWH. *

I was following this thread and the "New Jem" thread and posted in that one. I didn't realize how far off the blue in my NAMM pics was till I had one inhand again, it's a much darker richer blue. As soon as I can I'll find the 20 some new pics I just took and see if they come any close to the color, but the vine on a VSBL will never pop like the vine on a VWH, white on black, blue on dark brown.

Thanks Rich. *Theres someone selling one on ebay and they have pictures on the auction

[edit] snip ebay link [/edit]

It is a darker blue. *It really reminds me of Fender's lake placid blue color. *You can see how the inlays look really well too. *I really dig this guitar.

Yea, the front shots are very close to accurate color, you can see how much lighter the back shot is, which was the problem I was having obviously. Hopefully I can get to my new pics tonight.
