Re: anyone know how to get this tone?

What gear do you own for starters?

It sounds like a Mid level output pickup lke a FRED or PAF Pro Mo Joe maybe.
A medium level of Gain and a good amount of Reverb, no Compression.
Very warm and brown.

Re: anyone know how to get this tone?

Sounds like he's also rolled off the volume knob a little.

Re: anyone know how to get this tone?

looks like a bridge pickup with the vol knob rolled back, maybe halfway or a third way down

same guitar, vox amp
i love the bridge pickups on the js1200 but it doesn't give that extra 'punch' on some of the notes like in the video

Re: anyone know how to get this tone?

That had no "browness" IMO, it sounded very processed and relatively easy to achieve sound wise. Once I took a look at his site, I saw he was using a processor....

Re: anyone know how to get this tone?

Sounds like the MoJoe with a mild Vintage sounding OD more than anything, or a rolled off crunchbox. Reverb for sure.
