Available JEMs

Hey guys,
are there any JEMs or UVs ecxept the JEM7V SBL, JEM7D, Jem 77, JEM7V, JEM555 and the UV777P you can buy?? I wonder why Ibanez doesn't produce the Multicolors anymore!! I guess they would make a lot of money and a lot of fans happy with some new JEMs in cool colors.

The answer is pretty simple: Ibanez' market team has determined the current stock maximizes utility.

Yeah, but he forgot the 333, and i figure, if you've got 5 3/4 guitars, may as well round up... especially if one of them's a 7-string

Rich, do you remember in another thread here you said that all main distributors can custom order any previously released signature guitar as long as they order at least 100 copies?

If that's true it means that if Headstock (UK distributor) get an order for 100 Jem777VSK (or anything else) they can request them from Hoshino.

Now, am I making this up or is it true?...and if it is who wants to team up and get something from the past.
Also that effectively means that if there are enough orders, lines like the PGM300 could be ordered as well.
Well........can that happen or am I totally making this up?

Talk to your distributor, they may not want any part of it [probable], or, they may do a limited run of 25, ya never know, depends on how hungry they are for the cash Minimum order also depends on what Japan says. To order BFP's Japan wanted a minimum order of 70. You'd have to pay near or more probably list price, or have a dealer arrange the order for you to get some discount. I don't care if you order 100 guitars a distributor isn't going to give a private order "wholesale" [they used to cut a 10% off list discount when you bought straight from the distributor, but only if you beg for it]. Now if your dealer is the distributor like Tommy Lee might be able to work a pretty sweet deal.

Just to bring you back to reality, if you tried to sell 100 VSK's here I bet you just *might* get 25 orders, and that's a very optimistic number.

lol
True as that is I only said VSK as they seem to be as rare as gold dust.
I really don't think I want one but what I do want is a JEM777 with a maple fretboard.
Don't care if it is the SK or the DY and I want a new one.
My idea was to convince the distributor to order them and make them available for sale - not just for me.
And with the prices jems fetch around here I don't see any problem with shifting 25-50 777DY's in the UK and they will sell at list price.
I went to the most popular guitar bit of London (Denmark Str) this saturday and I saw 2 7VWH, 1 77FP, 1 555WH and they were on "sale" because of the old trems from 1899 to 1749 (not the 555).
Andy's (also there) had a '88-'90 beat up FP (with EDGE and NO serial#) for 1300. When I told them that I'm slightly interested and if they fret level and crown it I might part with 800 they said that no way they would let it go for less than 1100.
From that point of view I wouldn't mind paying 1400 for a brand new 777DY.

ilia

p.s. oh yeah and "Rockers" had a 7620 for 899.
now keep in mind that these prices do not include even a gig bag - just the guitar.

I think they should not produce this lousy 333. It doesn't have much from a JEM except the monkey grip.
I think we could find find 100 people buying a multicoloror or any other superb JEM or UV.
But they were scattered all over the globe (i guess that would be a little problem )!
hey dex the JEMs in germany are a bit cheaper
