Re: A BD present for me

Please can you tell me how she did this. What paint, what strap, where to get it, will it last or peel off, etc....

I want to do the same for my custom...... I tried and failed miserably. This looks bought, and also if that's hand painted then she could be one of the best imitation artists I've ever seen. Bravo.

Re: A BD present for me

Hi. Thank you all for great feedback! She appreciates it much.

My wife is a designer who does purses and belts so she has had some hands on with such stuff.
As for the way how she does it:
- acrylic paint with several layers applied depending on a case (she couldn't explain me when she needs more and when less, simply you see it)
- clear coating always one layer otherwise it will crack

As for the strap, it is a leather one and I've had it for several years and bought it at GC I believe.
I will ask her to work on my dimarzios, will post it...

Could be possible, I think, especially for a fellow Jem owner
PM me on how you want it done...

It is really hand painted. When fp2 was announced she painted the belt for herself with the pattern and though wearing it for all this time it just became even cooler with vintage look.

Wow! She did an AMAZING job on that strap. That could be a lucrative side gig for her!

Re: A BD present for me

With all these nice words and feednpback guitar straps will be the only presents she will give me from now on
I will have to keep up with getting new guitars.

I might challenge her with making a strap for my UV77RE...
