Black Dog on clearance in Austin, Texas

I happened upon a Black Dog hanging on the wall at Guitar Center in Austin, Texas last week. I was really impressed with the sound and playability. Not enough to fork over the cash, since I'm saving for/debating a UV77RE. If anyone is interested in it, it's on clearance sale for $5299.

I'll be interested when they sell for less than half that amount.

If that's on sale, I don't want to know the regular price.

I forget what they were asking for those, but it's crazy. That guitar should be $2500 max. $1500 for the guitar and maybe another $1000 for the fancy (replica) paint job.

I think every guitar should cost at least $5000. Think of how much less crappy music would be out there then.

Lol! But then we would also lose a lot of great musicians that started out poor and could only afford a beat to hell beginners guitar.

Yes because bank balance corelates with musical ability

That sounds very expensive for a "clearance" price.

Is it just me, or is any one else reminded of the W.A.S.P. song "Blind in Texas" when Austin TX is mentioned? We have a drinking/singing game using the film Road Trip based around this phenomenon.

Not true, It would stop me from making crappy music too. It's a small price to pay to make sure Nickleback, Linkin Park, Fallout Boy, etc would not only never happen, but on the small chance they did get instruments a financial investment like that would make sure they new what to do with them.

Cid, what are you doing listening to them in the first place? Was the radio remote left on the other side of the room again?

You have become the old grumpy man down the street.

Like the JS90 you're trying to sell for $2300?! Regular Fujigen production in used condition, yet a Sugi build, which is far superior an instrument in quality and materials, in very limited production, brand new, based on a historic guitar that looks 10 times cooler than that 90, is worth no more?!
