bp finish

hi everyone.

i've had my 1000bp for 10 days now. very nice instrument.

my question is, how would you imitate the black pearl finish for little scratches, well, maybe not that little.. the finish cracked and came off, and the wood is showing on the edge of the trem cavity, that is approx. 5mm x 2mm. how would you treat that, other than leaving it?

it would also be nice to know how the bp look was achieved, besides my problem.

thanks in advance..

I've used a black indelible magic marker on mine for small scratches around the jack. Can't see them.

I don't know how this would work on larger scratches, but would look better than plain wood.

or...

take the neck off...
take the hardware off

and kick it around your room for a couple of hours and go for the 'retro' look on a JS... has anyone done this before!?

PS. dont do that unless you actually want to!!!

Go to duplicolor.com

They have a lot of cool stuff, such as the proper product to
cover scratches and small holes, flip-flop sprays to make your guitar look
like the JS90 (as well as different color shiftings ), spray for chrome, golden and metal lookin, paint strippers etc.
