Brushed aluminium pickguard - ... are they available?

Does anyone know whether the brushed aluminium pickguards that are on the BSB's? I'm thinking of changing the mirror pickguard on my DBK to that. Any opinions on this?

I know they're available, but as memory recalls, they're very expensive for not much difference.

Do they scratch as easily (or more noticeable) compared to mirrorguards.

Where do you think I can get them?

I've got a mirrored stainless steel pickguard on my UV777bk not the plastic mirror one. I hated the original one, I sourced out for some local guys in my area to do the project. I stumbled this here shop that does sign works....basically any flat surface material, shaped in anything you want. I discussed the design with the guy and he qouted me 100 singapore dollars...for a stainless steel pickguard....not bad. That's about 75 American dollars.

Is this this the look you're going for?
I had Jeannie cut this when I first got the guitar. It looks even more "industrial" then it did before. I like it.

Jimm.... it's exactly what I'm looking for *drool*

Is the one you have on there plastic or actually sheet metal?

How much did it cost you?

It's brushed alluminum on black plastic. I put my own shielding tape on the back. $45 shipped, but his prices have gone up a little since then. It really completes the "industrial" look of the guitar.
