Changing pickups on UV777?

HI,
I currently own a '01 UV77bk. I like the tone of the blaze pickups due to the versatility of them. However, I used to own a JEM7vwh and I love the punchiness of the Evos. I am wondering how the EVO7s would sound on the UV777? Anyone tried them on a UV777? I am also currently using a Legacy head to go with the UV777. I am worried about the muddiness of the Evos on the UV777. Anyone with experience pls share.
Thanks

I have an Evo7 in the bridge of my UV777.

It sounds 10x better than the Blaze IIs.

I've heard the EMG707's are really freakin cool. I've also been waiting for some feedback on the PAF7. I'd be careful with the EVO7's though, I've been hearing that the EVO7's are different from the Evo6's.

I'm hoping the rumors of the FRED 7 will be more then a rumor sometime
in the future. But I too am looking for a slightly different sound out of my
777BK.

Surprisingly I really like the neck and neck-middle combination. On all
my 6 string guitars that combo blows, so I'm probably just going to go for
changing the bridge pickup and see what happens.

If you get yours done, tell me how it goes!

I put up a song about a year ago (god it's depressing that it's been that long since I've finished writing anything.)

It's all my UV777BK-Rd (Evo7 Bridge, Tom Anderson Custom Wound Single, PAF7 Neck)

Read the thread while you're listening to the song and you'll have all the info.

here's the thread:

no need to reply and bring an old thread back from the dead...
NOTE: THE LO-BANDWIDTH VERSION ISN'T THERE ANYMORE.
