I see you have revised the price list a little. Not too shabby, but a little off in some areas still

It's the summer auction slump, remember that happens every year??

Catch the clean BFP that finally sold for $2k?

No it doesn't, my point being, the very top of the market for the cleanest examples really isn't addressed

as i've said before, and here is where the bashers jump in...

if someone wants to spend money like a fool, that is their business... to me it is STUPID, but to each his/her own. along those lines, i'm not listing the first time ebay newbie, who is an abberant "zealot", in the price guide, since it defies all reasonable purchasing smarts. The price guide requires and encourages common sense when purchasing, along with not being impetitous.

if anything, the prices are TOO HIGH across the board if you purchase with any type of intelligence and patience.

you always pay more when you can't wait to buy something and need to have it yesterday

none of these guitars (jems/uvs) are that rare or hard to find when you step back and think it thru ...glen

This is where we always disagree

I think the bottom barrell pricing is also a little too high on most models you list. In other words, your price guide reflects a good "middle range", but doesn't speak to the beaters or the pristine, IMO anyway

LOL. i just see no point in listing "pristine" when it takes only 1 person to screw up the market.

will the bfp buyer be able to resell for $2000 or even $1750

for example that despagni monstrosity on auction... it's been said the seller wants near/over $2k, but yet time and time again, reserve fails to be met and bidders go $500-700. so if in ONE YEARS TIME, ONE CLOWN offers $1500 in a fit of stupidity, you cannot correlate the marketplace value to being $1500, because 20 reserve auctions not met later, it won't sell for that again.

market value is different from "what some joker paid once"... not only in guitars, but any business.

your mileage may vary... glen

Saw a BFP go for 3500 not too long ago. But that doesn't change the overall value of the BFP's, does it?

i paid $800 for my UVMC. now every guitar seems expensive! i want a VWH, but the minimum is about 1400-1500 used near mint. i won't pay that!
