CHROME VINE IS NOW DONE!!!!!!!

Ok, the neck is now done, refretted and everything. Now I just have to convince myself to send it back to Patrick! LOL anyway, I'll leave the other pics up too, but here is the finished product!!!!!

Just a quick little tease for you all, this is gonnna rock, I had to show you some

So, what do you think so far? and yes, the screw heads will be removed completely and nearly invisible when I'm done, note that this isn't inlayed yet, just set on top of the board, I've got the first fret inlayed as of last night, more pics will follow!

Here it is almost ready for frets, it's polished to 4,000 grit, got to go to 12,000, and it will be ready for frets!!!!!!

told ya the old inlays would be nearly invisible!

Spitting hairs here...

Wouldn't it be a 7VBK?

I thought 7D was the model and BK was the color.

V is for Vine inlay...What's the D stand for anyway? Dumb screwhead inlay?

I'm all confused.

Well, maybe it will have to be CVBK, cuz just VBK is taken with the JEM777VBK, so this one will be the JEM7CVBK (chrome vine, black) who knows, I think that's what Patrick decided on anyway, besides, we don't really wannat talk about VD do we? LOL

I should have most of the routing done tonight sometime, probably by monday it should look like a finished neck again. No binding on this one as far as I know, Patrick? am I supposed to put binding on? please let me know, I hate binding LOL

OMG! I totally missed this thread ... I've been looking for continuations of the last one ... my gawd that's gonna be georgious! You so rock Jer!

Binding? Nah, since the body isn't bound I don't think the neck needs to be either.

Oh man, doin' the SNOOPY DANCE now!!!!! WOOHOO!

LJ

P.S. I think CVBK is what we may have to call it ... I like 7VBK better but don't really need confusions I guess. I think we have to leave the 'D' off since I do believe it stands for 'dot' ... might have to talk to Mr. Vai for clarification ... anyone got his e-mail address?
