Doesn't the "C" at the beginning of the serial # mean it was made by cort?

Re: confused about auction

lol

Didnt want to start a new thread about this, but check this auction out

7424680998

I would swear that its a real jem looking at it, lo-pro edge, scalloped frets, correct inlay work, headstock looks good as does the grip. Are the sellers getting smarter and using pics of real jems then shipping the fakes thinking the buyers wouldn't notice the differences?

lol after looking at it again, there the photos from Jemsite...*******s..

The one on that page looks almost real but the sellers other Jem is an obvious fake. I sent him a message saying that is he continues to list it as an Ibanez guitar I'll tell **** about the counterfeit jems.

Anything to pull something over on an unsuspecting / inexperienced buyer!

We know OUR pic's people!!

Jemsite is becoming a thorn in the side to the scum and that's a good thing!!!

Yeah, there really stooping to a new low..

What can we do about the photos? Should we watermark the photos so no one can use them but Jemsite?

The close up if the neck inlay definitely looks like a Jemsite photo.

Actually, I think Glen has a disclaimer on his photos, and obviously they are being used without permission

We can report them for picture theft. When reporting, try to provide the real URL to the picture on Jemsite.

The auctions are usually gone within 36 hours of reporting.

Re: confused about auction

Thats the problem, you can't give them anything but the auction number when reporting a bad auction. If we watermarked the pics like this it would help prevent people from stealing the pics.

Thats a great idea, it would at least help eliminate the problem.
