Re: A couple of classics returning

Too bad that JEM has the EZ-II tremolo... In ten years time, everybody wants a mint SFG The UV looks great, but the tremolo is a deal breaker to me...

Re: A couple of classics returning

What's the "Standard DL" tremolo? I mean, the DL is obviously Double-Locking but is this a new bridge, or is it another previous Ibanez trem under a new name? It's a little sad that a guitar with the "Jem" name (even if it's a Junior) doesn't even merit the EZII. From what I can see in a cursory search online, the STD-DL has mostly been used on Gios up to now, at least under that name.

Does the EZII on the PBFP really save that much money? Or is this a case of intentional de-contenting to protect the pricier models with the Original Edge?

Just plain awesome

I'd buy one of each if only the specs were exactly what I unreasonably and pedantically wanted instead of what is on offer

Re: A couple of classics returning

The same as the others i suppose

And does this mean the SFG will be discontinued? Maybe the price of the ones in ebay will drop to $500 so I can actually justify spending the money on a premium and not prestige

Like I said- some of you will love them and some will hate them . I don't know why (actually we all know exactly why) the bridge they chose was the EZ. I really hate that bridge, but if they put the edge or LO pro In there would be no reason with those color options for people to buy the more expensive jems.

The deterrent for the SFG was that you had a pretty damn good guitar (edge, full vine inlay, evos, etc) was that it came in the sea foam green color- which I do like but it's definitley not my favorite. If you want a prettier Jem, you buy the prestige VWH and the 7v7.

Now- these guitars are fan favorites and are already beautiful in their own right- perfect if they had the edge on them (in which case j would buy immidiatley if not sooner). But then I would probably not buy the 3k prestige Jems, so there's the catch as I feel Ibanez has figured it out to be.

Or- since that patent problem stuff with the ZPS, they had a ton of EZs left over and decided to use them all without the ZPS (as I suspect these will not have the ZPS since the other lower models with the EZ2 have gone bAck to just 3 springs).

So- how hard is it exactly, to drop in a edge or LO pro Into the EZ2 cavity

Re: A couple of classics returning

The ez2 isnt that bad. I would be more concerned about the quality of the guitar. If you order from axepalace or ibanezrules or someone who will set it up and make sure its good, there no issue with the guitar. My 70p was great sounding and feeling, I would have had another one but found a decent deal on a UV7.

Seeing how rare the pwh's are, the uv71 is probably a great option.

What's "unreasonable'' about Ibanez not offering an Edge trem on the PBFP when the SFG has one? You know as well as I do if it had an Edge they would be flying off the shelves..........
