Curious - What To You Stick In The Lion Claw When Changing Strings?

One of my friends uses a square eraser to hold the bridge when changing strings.
I have a pair of rubber-coated wire cutters I use and I stick the handle part in the lionclaw to hold the bridge- works great. Rich Harris shows us on his site his own cool way -

What do you do to hold the bridge up when changing strings?

Re: Curious - What To You Stick In The Lion Claw When Changing Strings?

I just change them one at a time, no need to put things in trem cavity.

Red face Re: Curious - What To You Stick In The Lion Claw When Changing Strings?

The guitar sits on a table with the neck passing between my left arm and body. Then I actually keep my left palm on the bar and balance it so the trem is kept straight. I then work my 2 hands to insert the strings in place and tighten them up. I have never used anything to help with string changes, as that's just how it was done back in the day and I sorta got used to it...

I do that on my T-no equipped RG2020x. None of my UVs have them. Yet.

I change strings one at a time, never really had an issue with it and I like to dump the bar forward when im tightening the post on my original edge. Thats what works for me

I'd do that, except I like to clean my fretboard every string change. It's just easier when there's no strings on the guitar.
