Did Satch play a Cherry Burst single-neck axe?

I could have sworn Satch had a Les-Paul-style-ish Cherry Burst guitar on the Chickenfoot tour.

Did anyone else see it? I've found pics of a double-neck, but that's not what I'm talking about. I can't find pics of the axe anywhere. I'm starting to think I was seeing things.

This is from his guitar gallery and was found on foreverjoe.com. I believe he used this on the '08 tour with Seslie West

Yes, it was an Ibanez. It should be on the site somewhere.

One of these maybe?

Re: Did Satch play a Cherry Burst single-neck axe?

its an ibanez art
http://www.ibanez.com/ElectricGuitars/model-ART320
he used it for the slide playing in : bitten by the wolf
in the beginning of the chickenfoot tour he used his doubleneck and then changed to acoustic guitar and the art-guitar for electric slide !

"its an ibanez art"

Except that it has 4-knobs in the LP style.

And what is clearly an Ibanez Artist headstock.

It looks like an asymmetrical version, so it's not an Artist headstock but an SC or SZ headstock.

Good catch, certainly a unique looking Artist. Whatever it is, I like it and want one.

Doesn't look even remotely like an SC/SZ head to my admittedly untrained eye.

It doesn't look anything like an SC/SZ to me either! Perhaps eviltwin needs to get his facts straight or his eyesight tested before posting in future!

Re: Did Satch play a Cherry Burst single-neck axe?

My guess: its a custom ART guitar Ibanez made, maybe even custom made for Joe. Joe owns some Les Pauls and he's played them live before. Maybe Ibanez offered to make him an ART guitar that's more of an authentic Les Paul copy. That way he can play a "Les Paul" and still be pimping Ibanez.

Re: Did Satch play a Cherry Burst single-neck axe?

Didn't Gibson lose the "single cutaway" lawsuit? If so, why shouldn't Ibanez pimp one of these for the public?
