The DNA Clone.

Finally...the thing is done!
My son Kyle(14) has been really serious about guitar for the last year or so. In fact, he sold his Xbox 360 to purchase his first "real" guitar, a 1993 RG570FM. We came to an agreement that if he helped, and put some of the parts of the RG up for sale, we could make a DNA clone happen for him.
The cool think about Kyle is that in addition to being a great student, basketball player(he's over 6 feet), and person in general, he has dedicated ALOT of time playing guitar. In a little over a year, he has gone from absolute beginner to having some pretty serious chops. He is totally into Vai, Petrucci, Ty Tabor, etc, Loves to play and has a great ear. I really hope this will encourage him to be a creative, musical person for a long time.

A big thanks goes to Chris @ Legacy for supplying the neck and body.

I think im about done doing these swirls for a while. I need some time to actually PLAY guitar!! lol Ive got 2 bodies left to sand and buff. Then im taking a break.

Re: The DNA Clone.

Looks great! And what a nice thing to do for your son!

PS. I bet he would love a '69 Camaro for his 16th birthday.

Re: The DNA Clone.

Very nice bro; however, I think the red is a little off. Maybe you need to add some of your blood to it.

Re: The DNA Clone.

Look Great! Now, you only need one drop of Vai's blood...
