the dy colour

hi folks...ive tried for a long time to obtain this dy colour.you cant buy it anywhere..ive tried the lot,spray shops,,garages,,you name it ive tried.none of these have ever heard of dy.anyone help,thanks folks

If you bring some kind of colour sample to a store that sells paint, they might be able to mix the right colour for you (at least some paint stores do).

DY is just a name gave by Ibanez, not a standard color code name. as Nord said, bring them a DY sample and see if they can replicate it for you.

closest thing is probably RAL 1026 - fluorescent yellow

unfortunately these yellow hues don't show up correctly on monitors etc. even if the camera were to capture them accurately.

Any good car body paint supplier will be able to mix you up an exact match, they have special machines for this purpose (for example, older paint on a car will fade under sunlight exposure, and if you just need to spray a door and have an exact match you wouldnt use the original colour as the repair would stand out like a sore thumb, so they mix a custom colour up to match). Just make sure you know which type of paint to ask for (cellulose, acrylic, Isocyanates 2 pack etc)
