E-bay Safety Guide

I thought it would be a good idea to make one and help out anyone looking to buy a Jem on the bay. Please, if you have something to add, don't hesitate to post.

1. Signature Models are most commonly copied Ibanez's. Jem7VWH's are the most common but every once in a while theres a fake K7 up there. Be careful if you buy one of these guitars.

2. Be suspicious of low prices. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. Sadly, the $500 Jem just doesn't exist.

3. Don't trust Jem sellers from China. Almost every ake Jem I've seen has been from a Chinese seller. Be especially careful if it says, "It will bring you good luck." I'm not sure why they all say this, but it seems to be the catchphrase of the counterfeit Jem builders.

4. Ask Jemsite! If the pictures look suspicious post them on Jemsite. There is an incredible amount of knowledge concerning Jems around here that will help you to determine whether or not it is a real Ibanez.

Again, feel free to add on to this.

Also, pay heed to the seller's feedback. Most sellers, however honest they are, will get stuck in a crappy deal where some punk will leave them one or two negatives. BUT, if they have more than a few- check them out, look for patterns.

If in doubt about a Jem, refer to the master...

Well, maybe they don't sound bad? Maybe they DO play like a real JEM, for a fraction of the cost. Maybe aliens will land in my back garden tomorrow. Maybe they are hidden treasure, and maybe they *WILL* bring good happiness stuff to your family and everyone you know. I think you should not bash what you have not tried.

But hell, I'll bash em, too! Probably sound like a cat trying to pee through a sewn-up bum hole.

Re: E-bay Safety Guide

if its to good to be true... multiple choice answers

A : Buy it now this items wonderful
B : Put your wallet back in your pocket
C : Contact me here and i will send you my account details and send me the money, it might as well go to someone who deserves it.

if you want to choose the A option then why not try the C option also, i could rustle something up to send you for your hard earned cash just like 99% of the guitars you see listed i could send you a " charming popular music tool electricity guitar"

happy bidding
