Edge Trem on my 77FP

This has been bothering me for about several weeks now...

I can barely pull up on my trem anymore without having a string break. I restrung it with .009 - .042 Elixirs and I could pull up when I first put them on...which is coming on at about a month...I keep the strings clean and then tension of the strings is pretty light...

There's really nothing I haven't thought of that would fix this problem...I've modified my other guitars so that I could pull back 2 - 3 steps without any strings breaking but this is confusing me...

The strings are a month old and you need an explanation to why they're breaking?!

depend how much you bend and slack the strings about i guess

i get about a month outa mine and i use the whammy ALOT and i use bends ALLOT but i play all the time but its not unnormall to have them break after a month even from the crosive oils in your seat and just playing on them.

i might be something sharp on the bridge (just a stab)

sorry if i just rambled rubbish

i got the same problem. How many springs you got back there?
Also, check for any sharp points on the bridge, at the parts where it touches the string near the saddles.
