Extra switch on Joe's 2410's these days

All the 2410's he used yesterday had it. Anybody any insight on that ? That little extra switch below his tone knob. Wondering of it would be a boost or something, since his pedalboard is really getting minimalistic these days (2 Time machines, proctavia, mini pog, whammy, ibanez flanger, Wah, no drives at all anymore. Only the time machines are Vox's).

Nice show last night !

Re: Extra switch on Joe's 2410's these days

I spotted that on a recent video on his youtube channel.

Look closely at the single coil. It's a "Sustainiac" single coil.

and that's what the switch is for.

Re: Extra switch on Joe's 2410's these days

I was at the same concert and looked closely at that guitar.
It is not a js2410, rather a prototype. You can tell it is different as it doesn't have a JS series sticker on the headstock and the bubinga stripe is different on the neck. Also the input jack is not slanted as on the ones you can buy in store.

The switch is for the sustaniac, he engaged it a few times, including the last bit while Minneman was playing the drumstick as if it was a fly.

PS: is that pic taken from you? do you have any good quality ones that you're willing to share?

Re: Extra switch on Joe's 2410's these days

Last year when I saw him he had a sustainiac in one of his 22 fret JS guitars (I think it was a red one) and he played it for 3 or 4 songs. He must want to use the 24 fret guitars all the time now?

I seriously doubt this will become production, but who knows?

I know Joe's not using the Satchurator or Ice 9 much anymore, but I thought he'd still be using the Big Bad Wah. Was he back to Dunlop Crybabys?
