It Finally Came - Celeste is here...

My new JS 1000 has finally arrived, 2 months after the expected delivery date. *I can honestly say that this is the nicest guitar I have every played. *I love the neck, and the finish is just beautiful. *It's a BP. *I named it Celeste in honour of my grandmother who is in the hospital right now with serious heart problems.

EDIT: *I'll try and post some pics of it if you guys really want. *Just let me know.

I love this guitar, I'm working on the pics right now. *Should be available in a couple days I think. *Maybe the weekend. *Very busy at school right now. *One question though. *The serial number is 008277, it is supposed to be a 2001 model but the 00 seems to me that it was a 2000. *Anyway, somebody please let me know.

Congrats. The serial # is on the back of the headstock, not the plate #.

Ah, ok that makes sense, it's 01XXXX whatever, so I guess the 01 is the 2001 model. *The neck feels smaller than my strat. *It's not as thick, and the BNJ is made on the same angle that your hand is, when you play high up. *I love it. *The FRED is a nice pickup. *I haven't really used the guitar enough to give it a good evaluation, but I do like both pickups very much. *Still workin' on pics.

I have been wondering and I must know because I hear that this can't be done~

Does the JS1000 give a good heavy metal/distortion sound?

AND COME ON, I NEED MY FIX! (pics)

The 1000 can get a rather heavy metal sound to it. *I got one through my Marshall VS102R, sounds very nice. *Satch got a heavy sound in "Time" but chances are that he went through lots of effects processing.

I noticed one thing about my guitar in particular that I did not like. *I think whoever made this one placed the tone control a little too low and when i turned it a couple times, it scratched the finish in a VERY tiny spot. *I took the tone pot off and raised it a bit, so it works a little better now. *I should get the pics up this weekend. *I took some before, but they were pretty bad. *Digital Camera stuff is cool.

awsome....yes a JS can get heavy sounds.....if you want real heavy just stick some Evo's or some EMG's or some incredably cool pickups and your set.....

Yeah, EVOs have huge output on them, but I don't think I've got the heart to remove the PAF PRO and FRED from my baby.

My pics have been uploaded now. *I got them posted in the File Upload section. *They're very big for some reason. *The file size is around 300-400 kb. *All the pics are larger than the screen unfortunately, but anyway, they're up. *Check 'em out!

Let me know what you think!
