Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

I saw one in person the other day in the local music stores. The bridge doesn't look as bad as it does in pictures. What DOES look bad is that Vai graphic underneath. It looks cheap and poorly done. It does have Australia right in the middle of the "A" though. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie! OY OY OY

Buy it, keep it for 30 years, sell it as ultra-rare, cause no one will buy one in the 1st place, and they will all get burned.

As unattractive as it is I'm sure it plays extremely well. Shame. Some props to the seller too, that's a load of very detailed photos.

I think the Pickguard looks great with the foil on it.

A shame for that logo...

Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

we should pool our money and buy up the world stock of these and burn them, or bury them all in a very deep hole in the desert, then stand post so no one comes and takes them. thats what i say!

Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

i really dont understand that this expensive guitar has a pickguard for a edge bridge.ugly and cheap looking.cheap knobs.it should be above a 555 and a lot cheaper than a normal jem.and i hope you can remove the ugly sticker.and i think it wont sell a lot.maybe it will be rare but not that rare like dna/pmc.did mr vai ever plays this thing?

Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

what a total waste just think ibanez could have reissued one of the neon 777's. im sure these would have sold a lot more than that hardtail jem.

Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

I think there were some fans who wanted it and that's why it was built. It seems to be "neither fish nor fowl," but to each his own.

To really wack it out, I think someone should put a B-bender on it. Or some Hipshot detuner keys on it. Something really out of this world. I'm kidding, but you never know.

Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

The bridge is the ugliest piece of kit I've ever seen attached to a guitar......and just to make sure it doesn't sell??...........throw in a decal!!

Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

I wonder if they will even sell one of them ... on all forums I have been too in France or the US, I haven't heard a single person digging it, mostly because of the decal, behold spending 2k for this, given other nice hardtail options at that price (PGM, FR, AS, being a few popular examples in France). Will this be the first guitar, that Ibanez won't flip a single one of ?

Re: Finally there is one on the Evil auction site

Actually, a fixed bridge like that might allow for stringing with much heavier gauge strings, if someone wants to do that.
