Floral Pattern Reissue 2003

Hey All,

Well I'm brand new to this site and the Jem as a whole. A friend of mine has a 10th Anniversary that is just beyond beautiful and I've really enjoyed it when I've had the opportunity to play it.

Now my question is. I have the opportunity to purchase a floral reissue. It's currently being sold at a small Mom and Pop type music store near my home here in Michigan.

The story on it was that the original owner fell into some financial trouble and had to sell it quickly. I've picked it up, played it, and aside from some personal adjustments (action and what not) is in mint condition.

I am told it comes with the original hardshell case, and the signed backplate.

The price is $799.99 with case. Thoughts? Is this worth it, or should I be searching somewhere else?

Thanks guys!

That is a steal, unless it is unrepairable. Several hundred cheaper than if you bought it new. If you don't buy it drop me a PM as i'll take it LOL ...glen

Oh, just admit it. You know that's a steal and you're just posting to gloat about it!

The Floral reissue should come with Breeds and AANJ in my opinion. What do you guys think?

I may be new to the site, and Jems as a whole, but I know enough about them to know that this seems "a steal"

Re: Floral Pattern Reissue 2003

You should definetely go for it!! I have also had good luck with an FP from a finacially strained dealer in Michigan. I picked one up about a month ago that the dealer recieved in July as a warranty repacement axe. It is MINT condition, never been played to this day, still has plastic on guard and everything. And it came with signed backplate, all goodies, and a brand new TKL UV1000C with tags. Since the dealer recieved the FP as a replacement axe after the original '03 run, it had an '04 serial# making it a "Sweet 16th FP" F0416828. It is one of the very last FP's ever made, if not the actual last FP ever made.

Kinda missing the point of "re-issue" But then as they've changed the trem too!, why the hell not!

what's the matter with michigan? It appears there are so many financially strained guitarists. I should visit Michigan when I come to USA.

Btw, buy that thing!

Yeah Jono but don't forget this was never really a reissue - these have been available in Europe/Asia for good 17 years.*

ilia

*I'm sure you know that, just posting for the benefit of the people who think that getting a "re-issue" FP means a lot.

Thumbs down Re: Floral Pattern Reissue 2003

Well thanks to SMaloney US...... (his AIM screen name). I wasn't able to pick up the guitar. I called today to save it with a credit card, and they'd already sold it. (Funny how a shop has a guitar for almost a year, and suddenly the day I call to secure the purchase it's sold)

Ole SMaloney was the only one that would have known where this tiny little shop was because I opened my big trusting mouth and told him.
He offered to check it out and what not. Here I am a "newbie" to the site so to speak, thought "hey, nice guy!...trying to help a guy out" Instead the "newbie" gets screwed!

I truly feel stabbed in the back!

Seems I'll be searching for another Jem now.

SMaloney........ what a credit to your site.

Yup, nice stab in the back. A credit to nothing more than self serving greed. It'll be on ebay within 2 weeks under the user name Aquake.
