Cool stuff. You are getting the hang of it for sure.

You selling or building for personal use?

Re: GMC - 'Nuff Said

I am selling a few of these but also may keep for myself. The bubbles are there because the body was still wet at the time. They will definetly be gone after drying, clearing, leveling, buffing/polishing.

Re: GMC - 'Nuff Said

see, I told you that a 2 colors swirl will be easier to start with and get better results.
starting out with 4-5 colors is not a good idea. I made the same mistake myself so I know
good one. defenitely your best so far.

Do you use an oil based paint?

Re: GMC - 'Nuff Said

You are getting better, but the dunk has to be one fluid motion or you get those horizontal hard lines in the finish that you see in the first pic.

Re: GMC - 'Nuff Said

I have noted the lines, and will make the change in my future swirls. I will also start doing more and selling them very soon.

Re: GMC - 'Nuff Said

Why does the surface seem so lumpy compared to your BMC swirl?

I'm defnitey keeping a close eye on your work. I plan on having a spare RG body in the near future and I really want to GMC-ize it.

Re: GMC - 'Nuff Said

the lumpy parts of the body are because there is still no clear coat. Once I build the Clear coat and level/buff/polish it, it will be a mirror-like flat surface. Take note, all of my swirls that I have shown pics of are of just the swirls, not the final finishes like many of the other swirl guitars you see on this site. I will be clearing it tomorrow and will update pics. If you are interested in having me do a body, shoot me a PM, thanks.
