Good project guitar for GMC?? - What's the difference?

The spec on jemsite lists "Great GMC swirl project guitar" in the jem777vbk field. I'm curious about the differences between them(except the finish of the body, of course). Vbk has a back-routed body?? or it's a front-routed one the same with a gmc??

the VBK is a front route, so you'll probably want a cavity filler or just deal with the exposed front cavity.. glen

Good project guitar for GMC??

since it's a front routed body, a replacement body or the above solution seem the best ways. But it has the same(ish) neck with green vine inlay and stuff so...

I have looked into the same thing and getting a replacement body seems to be the best deal even if you have a FP. When I started adding up the cost of a donor guitar and replacing hardware, trem pickups, swirling, ect...I found that the cost is not far off from buying an original GMC (assuming you can find one).

Thank you guys for making things clear, and the problem, like you said, is to find a GMC in good condition.(If one really wants it.)
