That guitar, to me, is a 100% improvement over the 7vwh.

The gold and white is a little too 'over the top' for my taste. *The natural wood with the white is better, but still a little too 'bright' *- maybe a darker color would work better. *Maybe it's scrilege to *say this, but maybe the pickguard from a black 555 would look nice on there.

Overall, The "7vnw" rocks! *I wish I wish, with all my heart, that that'll be in the next line of JEMs.

I guarantee that it'll be my next one if it happens.

HIT IT WITH A HAMMER!?!

I think what you're doing is really cool, but, may I make a suggetion? *Add a mini switch for the middle pickup, you'll like this later probably. *

Jay,
For $65, Jeannies will cut you a pickguard that has no center pickup. I have one wired and waiting for the body to be sent back. It looks fantastic.

Pics of the entire family comming soon to a topic near you!

Well.... *that is a very interesting guitar. I think it looks good. *But the gold hardware doesnt look right IMHO. I hope its ok if i copied the "parts" picture. Im going to send it to my feancee and say "look sweetie I got bored and took the guitar you bought me apart" I will get a kick out of it I dont think she will but who knows she might just kill me. *I dont think I could really ever to that to such a nice guitar. Granted Ive ripped apart fenders like there is no tommorrow and I have 3 to build. So... Good job and stay away from the rest of the jems. PLEASE!!

Later

Nice.

A medium-brown stain would look quite lovely on that... maybe a walnut shade. A light sanding after the staining will enhance the grain. Mmmm... yummy! A dark pickguard might look better... but it might not.

Kudos to you for having the balls to do that to the prized VWH!
