Got my 1st Jem...

I got my 1st Jem a couple weeks ago. It's a Jem7DBK. And I must say it's the best guitar I've EVER had. I've had MANY Ibanez guitars from, My universe, JS1000BK, USA Custom RG and many other RGs. And I must say that the Jem makes everything but my Universe seem like a 150.00$ pawn deal. It's just a phenominal guitar. My Universe is a GREAT guitar in the 7 string world, but the Jem passes quality and comfort 10 fold from most other 6 strings i've played...I MUST get MANY more Jems!!!

Congrats on the DBK!! It took me many years to find my first jem (Dessert Yellow) and it was worth the wait. Every other guitar falls short of the mark once you play a jem!! (At least every one that I owned) Enjoy your new Jem.

I love it. I thought about selling it to get a different Jem, but I figured "what the hell!, I'll just start to build a nice collection"..Guitar Center around here has a nice Jem777VBK for 800.00$ that's just AWESOME!!
When I got my Universe I thought i'd never really get a better feeling guitar, but this Jem is like night and day when it comes to the universe.

Here's a pic of the guitar.

I traded a BRAND NEW JS1000. I bought it in November 03' for 900.00$ I found a member on this site who wanted a JS, and I wanted a Jem and we made the deal. I don't know how much he payed for it. But, I would assume it was somewhere near 900-1000.00$. I couldn't tell you exactly how much. But, I've heard that you can pick up CLEAN DBKs for around 500.00$ with a decent case.

The only thing I don't really live about the DBK and my Universe for that matter is the mirror pickgaurd. Mainly because I keep my guitars EXTREMELY clean, and the mirror pick gaurd shows EVERYTHING. But, LOVE the guitar none-the-less...lol.
