Got a real bargain today!

I went to a few local guitar shops looking to buy a decent acoustic, and while checking out a few I mentioned that i quite liked the look of the Euphoria acoustic, but it was too expensive.

the shop owner went round a corner and pulled this baby out

Because it had been in the shop for a while, and it's now been replaced by the newer version, I got it for less than half price! It was labelled as £825 and I got it for £399

That's officially the best deal I've ever had on a guitar

It plays really well too, it's been setup properly and there's no fret buzz at all.

It's signed by vai on the label too, which is pretty cool

Re: Got a real bargain today!

Congrats, its a great guitar !!!

Since is a more shallow body it took me a while to find strings that really bring out the tone of that guitar when plugged in or not.

Try the Dean Markley - Alchemy GoldBronze Acoustic, I think these reall sound amazing and were easier to locate locally compared to the Daddario Acoustic String it originally came with.

I have the EP7 and EP9, the 9 has a slightly deeper tone, but sounds 100% better plugged in because of the Aura electronics. I don't think I have even picked up the 7 since I got the 9.

Re: Got a real bargain today!

Cheers guys

As far as tone goes, it's exactally what I was looking for. The acoustic I normally play was a 70's eko with a thin body, and this was a good progression from that. It's got the roughly the same size body, but the neck is thinner and much nicer to play. Its really nice and bright sounding, but still fairly deep considering its size.

I'm really happy with it!

Re: Got a real bargain today!

I don't know much about these guitars but that's a realy nice top on there and I'd imagine it should hold it's value pretty well.

Nice score.

Yeah it's a pretty nice top! No intentions of selling it though, i don't usually get rid of guitars unless i really dislike them (which has happened on a few occasions, usually mail order).

Re: Got a real bargain today!

Wow! That is a super-ultra-nice great deal! Congratulations!
I was actually looking for an acoustic guitar. I am doing a lot of recording and I need an acoustic badly. I love my JEM and I love the looking of this Euphoria guitar! But I read some bad reviews about the Euphoria, that is why I didn't get one. I didn't play it because around here no shop has it. So, tell me, please, does the Euphoria represent the same to acoustic guitars as the JEMs does for the electrics? I need a killer acoustic guitar sound for my recordings. I want to use the direct sound but also want to mic it with my U87.

Congratulations again!

Re: Got a real bargain today!

I tried one out recently. It may be that the strings were a bit dead, but I wasn't impressed with the acoustics - thin and pretty lifeless. Didn't bother plugging it in though.
