Re: Group photo

WHY oh WHY would you butcher a 90th with a "granny's faux-finished walls" ugly paint job???

The JS6000 looks great though.

Re: Group photo

The moded JS... its a textured red finish... and its not a 90th... just a 90th neck on a rescued 1000wh body that was smashed, cracked, chipped dinged and burnt...

tis my favourite guitar ... does not come out well in photos on my camera though...

Re: Group photo

So hows the 6000 feel, do you find yourself reaching for the bar?

Same pups, different wood... does it sound way too different from the 1000/90th?

Re: Group photo

The 6000 sounds completely different to my 1000bp which I sold last week which has the same pickups... and to my 90th custom which has different pickups.

the no floating bridge gives tons more sustain and the mahogany give a tone that is seriously think! I dont reach fo the bar on non floating guitars generally... if its there I use it but if its not I tend not to forget but rather go straight to non-flaoting guitar tricks like double bends etc... The 6000 is a seriously good guitar.

the custom has a tone zone in the bridge and a air classic neck in the neck... however I dislike the tone zone sucks and it needs to go.

Re: Group photo

Sorry to hijack this but everytime I see a JS6000TR posted I feel the urge to post mine:

The 90th neck is ace, mate, I actually like the finish on that left JS of yours... I traded my 90th for the 6000tr but if I ever see a 90th neck go over **** I'll DEFINITELY get it.
