Guitar Stand

am using a guitar stand made by Hercules. the guitar is hung by the neck with no support under the guitar. they also make the ones for walls. seeing how my Jem20th is a very heavy guitar is this not wise to use with the Jem20th or my other Jems especially my UV77RE. the guitar store said they are fine.

Re: Guitar Stand

String tension exerts far more force on your guitar's neck than just the weight of the body dangling from it. True, the two forces aren't completely comparable for various reasons, but regardless, the weight of a guitar body (even a 20th) is trivial in terms of what the neck can safely support.

I couldn't agree more.

Have hung guitars for years with no negative effects, except maybe dust collection on some that don't get played much.

A good portion of my guitars are hanging, if for nothing else than space conservation.

I also tend to think it looks cool

A great way to show off what youv'e got.
