Has anybody seen this??

I was wondering if they made the JEM777VDY with a AANJ??
For some reason I am attracted to the old school neons on the yellow and pink, but love the feel of the AANJ.

You all seem to know these Jems better then I.. Did they ever do a run of this guitar??

I think the AANJ didn't show up till about '93 or thereabouts (I'm not sure of this) and the 777VDY production ceased in '91 so I wouldn't have thought so.

No VDY withAANJ. I think the the AANJ appeared in 1990 or 91 tops (the 1991 RBM1 and RBM2 came with AANJ, and probably the FGMs too), and I think the some USA made guitars come with it since 1990 or even 1989. Its incorporation to the jem line was with the 7VWH in 1993.

No vine, no liion claw, no dimarzio pups, no monkey grip, maple board.

I personally dont like the VDY, but the lack of an AANJ shouldnt be discouraging if you really want it.

When they came out with the Desert Yellow JEM with vines rather than pyramids, and rosewood fretboard, didn't that have an AANJ?

No, all DY guitars (unless repainted new Jems) have old style neck joints

Hi Simon,

just to be clear, do you mean that all DY Jems have old style neck joints rather than just all DY guitars?!
Other models (e.g. RG550 and FGM 300) were available in DY with an AANJ.

BTW, how's it going out there? The bug centre living up to expectation?

Bob, RG550DY with AANJ was also available in 94 and 95 in the Europe and so not so hard to find over here (I've got a 95)

Yeah, I just thought that because some other models had already been mentioned in the thread, someone might not realise you meant just the Jem.

Sorry for the confusion
