HELP - JS2400 & JS1000 snapping D strings?

The title just about says it all!!!!!!! Always at the saddle.

I'm using 10-46 D'Addario EXL110's and both guitars are properly set.

The newer 2400 is worse than the 1000 by far. It's only 18 months old. There are no visible sharp edges or unusual grooves on the saddles and I've even taken a very fine piece of wet and dry to them to make sure of this.

I was having a similar problem a couple years ago while using Fender strings, changed to the D'Ads and it went away............ only to reoccur.

I normally restring for every gig but recently the 2400 D string only lasted 5 songs and last week the Top E didn't finish the 1st set either.

I'm wondering if this is a recognised issue with JS's and if anyone has any sensible suggestions/solutions cause it's starting to make me wanna set fire to them!!!

You might have to file the saddles a little bit in the groove areas to make sure the strings aren't getting pinched somehow. Go to Ibanezrules.com and check out the tech section. I'd post the links but I can't access it at work anymore.

I hope this helps.

You know what i used slinkys on all my guitars but changed to D'addario's on both my ibanez guitars out of curiosity. I went through countless packs of strings with them. reverted back to ernies and guess what...no string snappage since lol. Its odd becasue at the end of the day they are just strings
