Well, if you leave the F out

C - Korea

6 - 96'

031638 - 31638th guitar produced in 96'

Well a F starting serial number would mean that the Guitar is Japanese made, which does make a difference...

If his guitar is the "36235th" model made or whatever, why dont you ever see the 00001st model produced?

Since there's only one 00001 per year, maybe you just have to be luckier to find it

That's not a MIJ serial #.

Theoretically, if there are 36,235 guitars made, and only one has the 000001 mark on it, well, you don't see it because the one owner that has that guitar hasn't shown it to you yet. Really, it's kind of like wondering why you don't ever see the 19,236th one. Well, that guy hasn't shown it to you yet.

I think people want more info. FC... I know nothing about serial numbers and very little about Ibanez guitars (I'm just here because I like drooling over the pics of the LNG's)... but if "F" = MIJ and "C" = MIK, couldn't "FC" be used for something in-between Japan and Korea (korean parts assembled in japan or vice versa)?
