Hey, what are those pickups for JEM & UV

Hi,
If we look at all the Jem and Uv, they have single Dimarzio pickups.
But what is exactly the :

"Dimarzio Evolution Single/middle pickup on the Jem" and The "Single breed one"

and

"Dimarzio single Blaze on the UV"

i can't find those pickups on dimarzio website or is there something similar if someone (like me ) would like to have Jem or Uv configuration pickups ? what are in fact those single pickups ?

thanks.

Re: Hey, what are those pickups for JEM & UV

The JEM single pickups are 'specially designed and made' for Ibanez by DiMarzio and aren't sold separately (through official channels). As far as I know, there are three different mid pickups made for the JEM series: An "Evolution single" (ISCV2), a "Breed single" (ISCV3) and a "JEM single" (ISCV1) used with the PAF Pro's on 'early' JEMs as well as for some PGM models.

The Blaze middle pickup is actually listed on the DiMarzio website as the DP701 (and I presume that's also the one used for UV guitars).

Finally, there's the mystery "TransJEM" pickup set used for the JEM20TH also produced by DiMarzio.

The Middle pickup is actually the same on all JEM models, they just refer to it differently.

The ISCV2 or 'EVO Middle' is readily available from any DiMarzio dealer (including myself). It's basically the same as an HS2 in Single coil mode.

The middle pickups as far as I know (from speaking to Steve at DiMarzio) has never changed.

Is it so simple : you mean the "jem single", the "breed single", and the "evo single" COULD BE the HS2 pickup ? the same one for basswood or alder bodies ?

Not the same as the HS-2, which is designed as a hum cancelling single, but sound te same when the HS-2 is used as a single. The Breed, EVO etc i.e. Jem single coil has always been the same raise it has te same effect on the humbuckers, it's not designed to be used on it's own lol. It is that simple though.
