Hi All new member seeking some help

Hi all, new to the forum but have been playing ibanez's since 1988 when i got my 540P which I still currently own. Besides that guitar I also own two SZ320's and one 7 string S series, forgot the model. I have also owned many ibanez's in the past, including some 550's, a usa made custom, some PL's, alot I cant even remember. You can see some of my past on the ibanez registry.

Anyway just wanted to say hi and ask some help from some fellow forum members. I just recently met someone that says he is selling a 2002 Jem and I want to verify it is legit before I purchase as I know alot of fakes are going around. I have pictures posted on my webshots site just look for user siggy14 there as I cant post the link as I only have 1 post.

Seller sent me S/N F0050685 so if it is legit I would think that makes it a 2000 model.

If guitar is legit what are the price range the JEM's are selling for? and anything I should know about this year, is good or bad etc.. I like the Ebony Frett board, but should the one Peice maple neck shy me away?

I am not a spammer, you can find me on the mesa board, JCF board and many more boards all under the same screan name. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Todd

Re: Hi All new member seeking some help

hi todd.the serial number is a 2000 model not 2002,2000 reads as f00 and 2002 reads f02.without pics is hard to tell weather or not its a fake.pending where you are in the world, here in the uk a second hand 7vwh in really good nick fetches £800-£1000,u.s.a is a bit cheaper, one of the american lads will be able to tell you better.but if the seller is saying its a 2002 model hes wrong f00 is deffo 2000.tread carefully (we need pics)

Re: Hi All new member seeking some help

I might be wrong, but is the Ibanez logo usually that gold on JEMs?

Just a quick observation so I might be completely wrong here.
