How about this? Just a thought.

Looking at this made me think about an all aluminum JEM. Tempered aluminum of course. But what do you all think? It would be light as hell, but would get nicked up real easy I would assume so there would have to be some sort of protective coating on it like the modern polished wheels that are on cars. Just one thing that makes me wonder is would the all metal body suck up the sustain? Or would it make it better? Who knows, but if nothing else, it would look awsome!!

You could have the aluminum anodized with a hard coat. Anodizing comes in many different colors, even clear. Heck, you could teflon coat it - makes a great cooking surface!

BTW, cool looking lefty guitar. Is that jpg of a solid model you have? Could you send me the model file?

No, I copied and pasted the file from the virtual JEMs thread. Take a look, the are some neat looking pics in there. But I think that an all metal body would look awsome

A lot of people rave about the tone of Tokai Talbos, which have hollow bodies of cast aluminum. It'd be cool if Ibanez explored this option to make a new "chrome" guitar.

btw, has anybody ever checked out Guns Girls and Guitars http://www.gunsgirlsandguitars.com/guitars.html Are those chrome finishes reliable like the JS10th's?
