How hard its it to replace the Frets on a Jem FP

I just acquired a JEM FP and some of the frets are rounded off at the ends on top side of the neck instead of a smooth curve all the way to the end of the fret then would angel off. For example, when playing on the sixth string around the middle it really easy to slip off of the fret if not carefull. Plus some frets have a slight wear in them.

So how hard it is to replace the frets or how much would it cost to have it done?

If you dont know what your doing then I would recommend having a luthier re fret the neck. The price could be upwards of 200.00 depending who you go to.

Ya I went to Ibanez.com and checked who they said services their guitars and its this guy that works out of his house. I have worked with him before on a diffrent guitar. He has like 20 + years in the biz with guitars.

I would luv to learn how to do so but I dont want to mess up a guitar either Yikes!

Nice guitar mate , i love jems, but i've found that 550's can do just as much as any of my jems did, so i am converting to make money to put on me car .

Does she really need a fretjob ?
